Medical Emergency Training (Mar 2014)

All our staff have just completed their annual refresher training for dealing with medical emergencies. We enjoyed a fully interactive and theatrical training session with many realistic roleplay senarios. Thank you to Pete Chell from Quest Training for running the session. Useful and enjoable as always.

Congratulations to Nosheen for passing her Level 3 Diploma in Dental Nursing. Having joined us originally as a new trainee, we have enjoyed watching Nosheen blossom into the highly competent  dental nurse she is today.

To add to our BDA Good Practice accreditation and successful CQC inspection, we have been awarded witht he Denplan Excel Accreditation. This once again demonstrates that we value high standards and follow effective processes for complying with all professional regulations.

CQC Inspection (May 2013)

We are delighted to announce that we have passed our Care Quality Commission inspection with flying colours. This demonstrates that we are fully compliant in the services that we offer. A huge thank you to the patients who were interviewed as part of the inspection. Thank you also to all the staff for your hard work in continuing to uphold our high standards.

Newly Acquired – our AED

We have just received our new “Automatic External Defibrillator” or “AED”

If a person has a heart attack, their chance of surviving decreases by 10% every minute without treatment.
If someone performs CPR (the “kiss of life”) on them, they have a 7% overall chance of survival.
BUT
With an AED used as soon as possible their chance of survival goes up to well over 50%.
We are very proud to have invested in this high-tech equipment which could make the difference between life and death to anyone unfortunate enough to suffer a heart attack on our premises.

Life in the Fast Lane with Denplan

Many thanks to Denplan for organising a recent teambuilding event.

BDA Good Practice Member

We are delighted to announce that Park Street Dental Clinic has bee awarded the highly regarded BDA Good Practice accreditation.

What does this mean?

The BDA Good Practice Scheme is a quality assurance framework for UK dental practices. By becoming members of the Scheme, practices demonstrate a visible commitment to providing quality dental care to nationally recognised best practice standards. The Care Quality Commission (CQC) has accepted that membership of the Scheme is a reliable indication that the practice is using a QA framework. Practices meeting the Scheme standard should be well positioned for meeting CQC compliance.

Free Wi-Fi available

We are delighted to announce that free Wi-Fi is now available at the practice. Although we try to ensure that our patients will never wait long enough to need Wi-Fi access, we understand that many patients attend with a friend, relative or spouse. They will now be able to catch up on work matters, manage emails or browse the internet in the comfort of our patient lounge.

Thame Club Rotary Swimathon

We are delighted to announce that Park Street Dental Clinic will be one of the main sponsors for the Thame Club Rotary Swimathon to be held on Sunday 7 October 2012
